The first scenarios we have designed assume to be mainly euro-centred, as the project logo gives it away.
However, it shouldn’t close the potential for further explorations of funeral rites for data through the multiple prisms of the different cultures, practices and beliefs. We believe this project should benefit from a necessary plurality of visions and fictions, beyond a monolithic western perspective.

Not all the aspects of funerals for data have been told, so we invite you to speculate on possible new rituals, by drawing on your personal experience and imagination. It can be speculative fictions or essays, design artefacts or drawings, videos or podcasts. If you don’t know how to start your exploration of rituals, you can have a look at the toolkit we used for the workshop “Requiem for a data”.
